A Call to Global Intercession
There is much wailing, analysis, and outcry across the nations of the earth today. Every continent carries its burdens conflict, corruption, injustice, and uncertainty. Voices are loud, concerns are many, and conversations are constant.
Yet a sobering truth remains:we talk more than we pray.We lament more than we intercede.
Across the world, while there are gatherings, services, and moments of devotion, there are very few documented instances where entire denominations, movements, or nations have deliberately set aside extended hours such as 12 uninterrupted hours in a single day solely to intercede for their land.
The pattern we often see is short, periodic prayers sincere, but brief. Meanwhile, the crises facing humanity are deep, persistent, and complex. They demand more than occasional attention; they require sustained spiritual engagement.
Scripture reveals a different posture.
In Nehemiah 9:3, an entire nation stood before God for 12 hours reading, confessing, and worshipping. This was not symbolic; it was sacrificial. Time was given. Attention was focused. Hearts were aligned.
That kind of intercession is rare today not just in one country, but across the globe.
Even where prayer exists, it is often mixed with routine, constrained by time, or overshadowed by activity. The world has not lacked words it has lacked depth of seeking.
As it is written in 2 Chronicles 7:14:
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
